Before
We offer a comprehensive residential subfloor moisture testing service to ensure your new floor is not impacted by unidentified subfloor moisture.
Our service is a requirement outlined in the Australian Standards AS1884:2021 and test method ASTM F2170 for resilient floor coverings.
ASTM F2170 is professionally considered to be the most accurate test method for ascertaining concrete moisture levels. Manufacturers of timber and laminate floor coverings will often reference this test in their pre-installation guidelines in determining suitability of laying conditions.
Our service gives you peace of mind that at the time of installation, your floor has been installed over an adequate subfloor that should not be impairing the floor coverings performance.
Should an instance arise where you need to make a claim on your flooring manufacturer’s warranty or insurance policy, the derived moisture test results may also aid in your claims process.
The flooring industry is broadly guilty of not conforming to this pre-installation test method. Resultantly consumer’s new floors are being installed without proper due diligence. This could effectively render a portion of the manufacturer's warranty useless under pretenses where moisture concerns are at play.
After
We offer a service that can help return your damaged timber or laminate floor back to its original factory appearance where impact or abrasion damage has occurred to the floor’s surface.
We can also provide advice on veneer (lamella) delaminations, where the veneer has separated from the core board of the engineered board.
Site specific, we may be able to repair on site depending on the conditions at play, potentially saving you hundreds or thousands of dollars from more labour intensive fixes.
