It is an American standard test method which requires a drill and plug test of the concrete. 3 holes at 40% of the slabs depth for the first 100 square metres (SQM), and then 1 for every 100 SQM after that.
The test requires access to site over 2-consecutive days as the drilled holes must be left for 24 hours prior to testing.

To ascertain that your concrete subfloor is dry enough to install your new floor covering over without impairing its performance. Subfloor moisture can cause deformation of the floorcovering over time.

You are at risk of jeopardising your warranty under pretenses where the flooring manufacturer deems high moisture levels to be at play from your subfloor (ie: the surface your floor covering is installed over).

Yes. We will provide an official report within 48 hours of the completed test. We will confirm the results in person on-site encase any imminent flooring works need to begin.

Ideally yes. We can perform our most comprehensive moisture report for you when we have visibility of your entire concrete slab. However, we can still drill through the existing floor covering to perform the most critical test component.

Yes. However, this is unlikely and we are only going a maximum of 40% into the slabs depth, so cracks will most likely be superficial. If this occurs, it can easily be repaired by your professional flooring contractor when they install your new floor covering.

We aim to repair the damaged area so that it is not noticeable from a standing position and visually presents as it did before the damage occurred.

Each timber delamination will be assessed upon application. It will depend on the delaminating point on the panel. Where we cannot determine via photo or video supplied by you, we will need to book an inspection time to determine the viability of the repair.
